We chose the name of this kennel with great caution. We wanted a kennel name with deep meaning, and since we were first going into breeding with Ida's Rhodesian Ridgeback, we originally wanted a kennel name that based on the origin of that breed. After searching the web for meaningful names in Swahili, we found that most of the kennel names we liked were already taken. So therefore we searched within some of our other passions. One of those passions is mathematics.

The definition of Extrapolate is: the process of constructing new data points outside a discrete set of known data points.

And we thought the transition of this phrase into the breeding scene was genius. In our opinion, this is exactly what the breeders do. They have a known set of data point in the genes of their dogs, and with this information, they make qualified assumptions on how the offspring will turn out.
